Frequently Asked Questions
Everything you need to know about MiSTer FPGA hardware, shipping, and support.
What exactly is MiSTer FPGA and how does it differ from software emulation?
MiSTer FPGA uses Field Programmable Gate Arrays to recreate the actual hardware circuitry of classic consoles and computers at a logic level. Unlike software emulation, this provides cycle-accurate performance with near-zero input latency and original signal processing.
Do you offer international shipping for global customers?
Yes, we ship worldwide. Shipping rates and delivery estimates are calculated at checkout based on your location. Please note that international customers are responsible for any local customs duties or VAT incurred upon arrival.
Are your products pre-assembled or do I need to solder them myself?
Most of our products, including IO Boards, USB Hubs, and SDRAM modules, come fully assembled and professionally tested. Any items requiring DIY assembly will be clearly marked in the product description.
What is your return policy for electronic components?
We offer a 30-day return policy for unused and unopened items. If you encounter a technical defect, please contact our support team for troubleshooting or a warranty replacement. A restocking fee may apply to non-defective returns.
How do I update the firmware on my MiSTer Addons hardware?
Our hardware is designed to be compatible with the standard MiSTer 'update' scripts. Simply connect your MiSTer to the internet and run the update script, or manually download the latest cores from the official project repositories.
What payment methods do you accept?
We accept all major credit cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express), PayPal, and modern digital wallets like Apple Pay and Google Pay for a secure and fast checkout experience.
